Trying to read a certain document file, watch a video, or listen to your favorite MP3s and finding that your usual software tools or media players cannot open them is more common than we think. Corrupted or damaged files can now be repaired and even enhanced using Wondershare Repairit—a tool to bring back to life any number of files regardless of size and filetype.
The process could not be simpler. Just select the tab that deals with the kind of file needs repairing, select the file(s), and click on the Repair button. The program will do its magic in just a few seconds—well, maybe a bit longer than that if the files are too bulky and/or the list is too long.
This interesting piece of software has already embraced the magic that Artificial Intelligence is spreading all around. Media files are not only repaired, but enhanced in certain useful and interesting ways—video can be improved in terms of definition, audio in terms of clipping, images in terms of clarity, etc. There’s even an Advanced Repair utility that may take samples of similar videos to replace damaged frames.
As expected, the trial version has its limitations, though. It won’t preview the whole file, and it won’t save any repaired files to your internal or external drives.
A final simple caveat—a ‘Severely damaged files cannot be fully repaired or previewed’ notice somehow cancels the ‘All files. All formats. All corruption’ message that you’ll find in the program’s website. We are all aware that no software tool is capable of repairing ‘all’ files, in all formats, and all types of damage—there are simply certain files that have been damaged beyond repair. And that’s fine—that does not retract from the fact that Wondershare Repairit works like a charm with a high number of files, formats, and damage types while throwing in a very interesting AI-based enhancement treatment in the deal.
